Dear Supporter,
I promised you in last month's letter that I would tell you about a new teammate of ETM. His name is Bebe Heimerl, a German of Romanian origin who lives in Valencia, Spain. He is married to Ramona and they have 4 children. In the last missionary trip to Spain, I had the honor of handing out the graduation certificate as Apprentices and Apprentices. Bebe is the pastor of the Baptist church Baptisto Iglesia Tiempo de Cosecha - Harvest Time Baptist Church.
Bebe has been the senior pastor of the church since 2016. He took over this mission after a visit to ETM, in order to prepare for pastoral work. The church that Bebe pastors is young, but very active. It is an international church, with members from every Spanish-speaking country. The work that Bebe does together with his family and the church is a special one with a special impact. This church is known throughout Spain for its work of preaching the Gospel, Discipleship, and Social Assistance. Because of the generosity of the church, he is able to pay for the accommodations of 10 very poor families and feed them daily. They have a daily work of mentoring children from needy backgrounds, with 60 children fed every day. Their help reaches 500 families. They also work with embassies to help emigrants who fled their home countries for safety. I visited these camps with my colleague Jim. In addition, they are helping Ukrainian refugees who fled the war with Russia. The church also has an official football club, through which children and parents have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and Christian values and principles. I am at your disposal if you would like to learn more about the wonderful work that God is doing through our tireless colleague.
In March, I had meetings with the elders from The Rock Community Church and continued the study of Biblical Eldership. On March 12, I was invited by the pastor of a Baptist church in Hickory to serve in the morning service and to discuss discipleship. On March 19, I was invited to the pastor's installation service in Akron, Ohio. Every day my program starts at 8 am with a zoom meeting. I have 5 groups of apprentices from Europe with whom I meet each on a different day. Some of them are missionaries in Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Spain. Also, the ministry is intense through the meetings we have for counseling and mentoring with those who visit us and do not request ETM's help. On March 23, I had a very difficult operation on my teeth. They discovered an included canine that severed 2 tooth roots and also affected the 3rd one. The pain was terrible, and intervention is still needed.
Ethan and Sarah welcomed their baby girl – Jane Kathryn Ramsey – on March 31st. Jane means the Lord is gracious, and they are thankful for the grace God has already poured out on the three of them in the weeks that have followed.
Complex cultural and language changes require longer and wider research to meet the demands of counseling pastors and teachers. Colin has been balancing the research schedule and sermon prep with the March Madness progress. Besides, spring is almost here so hikes are longer and locating downed trees to provide next winter's wood becomes a priority.
Thank you very much for your love and for the help offered both spiritually and financially. You are part of these blessings that so many people benefit from. Thank you again for being involved with us in this common mission for the transformation of lives and churches. Be blessed by the Lord Jesus – Hebrews 6:10 .
