We are halfway through the year by God’s mercy and grace. I want to thank you for the love with which you have involved yourself in the work of God of the ETM, with prayers and through the financial support of the projects and the work colleagues.
For my family, the month of June was a month full of joy and fulfillment of the work. We had dear people in our family with whom we had wonderful fellowship and a blessed time of strengthening and consolidating faith. In June we had the annual meeting with the ETM board. The colleagues arrived a little earlier and we discussed the vision and strategy of our work. The meetings were a real blessing and encouragement for us and the ETM team. We thank God for our board and for their families. We share the joy that David Thacker is the newest member of the ETM Board. David is pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kinston, NC.
On the second Sunday of June I was invited to preach at both services of the Baptist church in Hickory, NC. June 9 and 10, Colin, Ethan, and I participated in the assessment and ordination of Frank Cline that took place at Robbinsville First Baptist Church. Frank and Jasmine graduated from the ETM ordination training, and they serve alongside David and Dana in Kinston, NC.
On June 11, I was invited to preach at the Rock Community Church in Duck Town. The
church has moved to a new location. On June 18th I was invited to serve at Grace Church in Greenville, SC. On June 25, my family and I enjoyed fellowship with the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN. We were privileged to meet pastor David. As you can see, June was also a busy but blessed month in which ETM was used as a blessing for those who needed counseling and equipping. During the week, we continued the Zoom meetings with pastors and missionaries from Europe.
With God’s will, we are preparing the mission for Romania, Albania and Macedonia. The
mission will start from September 12-October 6. During this mission I will be accompanied by
Ethan my colleague. We need your prayers in this work of equipping and training workers and missionaries for the work of discipling churches to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20.
Ethan and Sarah helped facilitate our board meeting in June. Ethan continues ordination training with an Albanian family. Property demands have made ministry difficult this summer, as more things on property have required our attention. Thanks to Alan and family who helped us repair equipment needed to keep the property welcoming and safe.
At 85, Colin is quite well although he doesn’t travel much any more. He spends about 20 hours a week doing research and writing and about the same amount of time counseling by phone and meetings with the team.
Thank you for your prayers and tireless help. May God bless you and reward your charity and sacrifice.
