My name is Valentin Remus Tent, son of Valer and Elisabeta Tent, born on 04.12.1978, in the town of Tinca, Bihor county, Romania. At the age of 13, on 02/9/1993, at an Evangelization service of the Baptist Church Number 1 in Tinca, the Holy Spirit convinced me that I am a sinner and I put all my trust in the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, and on 08/29/1993, I confessed my faith in the Lord Jesus and I was baptized by Pastor Gherle Moise.
Since I was a teenager, I was preoccupied with serving God and implicitly serving the church. At 17, he was proposed by the church from Tinca, for a training and equipping course as a pastor's helper. The course took place in a modular program for a period of 2 years and was organized by the Emanuel Bible Institute from Oradea.
I graduated from high school from Tinca, Bihor county, in 1996. Before and after graduating from high school, I felt the Lord's call to serve as a pastor. I felt a special affection and love for people, a calling that was confirmed by the Baptist Church in Tinca, together with its pastor and the church committee. I took the admission exam at the Emanuel Biblical Institute in Oradea in 1996. I studied for 4 years at the university, after which in 2000 I graduated and was examined and licensed by the University of Bucharest University of Theology.
On October 2, 2004, God blessed me with the right help mate, Iulia Tent, who was and is with me in the Lord's work. I could not have done the Lord's work without the Lord's help and then without the help of my wife. God blessed us with 2 children – on December 15, 2005, with a wonderful boy we named David, and on December 27, 2010, with a wonderful girl we named her Estera.
After graduating from the theology faculty, in 2002 I received 2 Master's scholarship at Central Seminary, Minnesota, Minneapolis, where I graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Study and a Master of Divinity in 2005.
At the same time, I am certified as a spiritual counselor, by the New York Christian Counseling Center and by the Albert Ellis Institute for Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. After 3 years of modular studies, I graduated in 2008.
I also graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, at the University of Oradea, in 2013. I am currently in the doctoral program at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City.
Regarding my work, I served as a pastor from January 2000, in the Baptist church in Cauasd, Bihor County, until 2009. From 2008-2012, I served in Oradea, as a pastor at the Maranatha Baptist Church (Bet-Adonai). From April 2004 to April 2015 I also served as a pastor in the Baptist church from Hidiselu de Sus, Bihor County. From 2012-2015 I served as a pastor in the Elim Church, Oradea. In 2014, God called me to serve as pastor at a Baptist church in Akron, Ohio. I served in the church in Akron from March 25, 2015, until June 20, 2022.
In 2022, God called me to take over the presidency of Eternal Truth Ministries (ETM). Our mission is to equip and develop leadership, mentor churches, and make disciples in the United States and throughout the world.
All these and many other things that were not mentioned in this activity report and biographical work, were done by the Grace of God and by His power, who in His mercy chose me to serve Him as His slave. I believe that more things could be done for my Lord, that's why I consider myself an unworthy servant who did what I had to do and who could do much more, for the Lord of Life. All I want is to successfully finish my run and the work to which I was called together with my family, serving my Lord and those around me.
