Dear Friends,
"Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth." Hosea 6:3 The long-awaited spring has arrived here. With the arrival of spring, we were visited by pastors and servants from different churches.
In April, the chairman of our board and his wife, visited us. We had a blessed time and a wonderful fellowship. He also came to greet Liviu and his family who, after some time of preparation at ETM, left for Romania in the mission work. We were also visited for a week by the general secretary of the evangelical alliance in Albania, Alesio Sema along with his wife Iuli. We had a blessed time of sharing and encouragement. A time in which we discussed the vision and strategy of ETM’s mission in Albania. We thank God for the collaboration and efficiency of the discipleship work in the churches of Albania through the pastors and leaders involved in training with us.
We were invited by 4 families of servants from different cities and states in the USA. My parents came from Romania to help us with the spring cleaning of the ETM property. We also had families from North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and South Carolina visit with us. As for my family, I can tell you that we are very busy every day with everything that ETM requires.
Our colleague Jim Caminata has been a missionary in Oradea, Romania since April. Oradea is in the western part of Romania. His mission is to encourage and equip pastors and ministers of churches in Romania in the work of discipleship. I will attach a few lines from Jim's letter:
"Yirah, Hebrew for "awe," is typically used in phrases like yirat Hashem and yirat shamayim, which mean "awe of God." Awe is the basis for serving God and signifies a strong sense of God's presence in our lives. By observing the world around us, we can see God's grandeur in nature and His involvement in everything, even the ordinary aspects of life. When we truly open our eyes, we are filled with awe and love for God. The Bible instructs us to have awe of God, as it is this awe that guides us to follow God's righteous ways. It is only when our understanding is rooted in awe of God that knowledge can elevate us towards a more holy life. (Source: 75 Hebrew Words). My first month in Oradea, Romania was filled with awe as I listened to His voice guiding me through various challenges. Abiding Prayer:
1) Pray for pastors to be uplifted in their work and for more individuals to benefit from the training provided by ETM through the ministry Jesus does through my participation. We will start next week on every Thursday evening begin further training with the Cihei Baptist Church, expecting 20 to attend.
2) We pray that God will raise up young men and women who are called to serve in building His Church with love and unity. It is our declaration that Christ calls and gifts individuals to minister to His followers, so that all may be equipped for maturity, to the fullness of Christ's stature.
3) I regularly communicate with two brothers online: Jorge, a Mexican American brother with whom I have a Models and discipling relationship, and Florin, a Romanian brother who has helped me as a translator in Spain. Florin has asked me to come visit him in Spain for five days next month."
We thank you for all the support and help given both spiritually and financially. In addition to Jim’s prayers, we ask for prayer for the preparation for the mission in Europe. With God’s will, we will go again in the fall. We need involvement with us in the preparation and equipping of pastors and workers from evangelical churches.
Colossians 1:3 "We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you."
